my story
While being caught in a period of directionless floating, I felt overwhelmed by life, nostalgic for the past, and fearful for the future. I realised that enough was enough. I needed to take a step back and define what direction I wanted my life to go in. I took out a piece of paper, asked myself "What do i want with my life?" I concluded that one of the most important things to me was creating stuff that either helped people, or made them happy.
I thought about the times I felt most fulfilled and productive and I realised that during those moments a trusty sidekick, my planner, is what helped me the most. I searched far and wide for the perfect planner, but with each planner, I felt like something was missing. They were all very practical, but not personal, and I wanted to change that.
I wanted to make a planner that could be the place for all your thought by having the structure of an appointment calendar, the potential for creativity of a sketchbook, and the reflection space of a journal. I wanted a planner that not only got people thinking about where they wanted to go, but also help them get there. I wanted to create the planner I wish someone had given me when I was feeling lost, so I decided to make it myself. That's how Craftys Journal was born
